A little about me…..I began square and round dancing in the Fall of 2011. I grew up watching my grandparents dance, but always resisted joining them. I so wish I could have had the chance to dance with Grandma and Grandpa Jones, as I definitely caught the dance fever once I began, and find nothing but joy when I am dancing, cueing and teaching!!! However, there is no doubt that they are dancing beside me now!
After much prodding – I started cueing and teaching in 2017 and am so grateful to those who were so persistent in getting me out of my comfort zone!!
I have been incredibly blessed to cue with some of my favorite callers, and am lucky enough to call them all friends. I also have an amazing group of mentors and cuers that are friends and who I can always go to with questions!! The square and round dance community includes some of the most generous people I know. I am so grateful for all the support I’ve been given by callers, cuers, dancers, friends and family.
I have my own round dance group, Rikki’s Rounds. I’ve been blessed with some wonderful friends and some wonderful opportunities!
